On the road of Magnières, where we alloy to make the track inspection car, we stopped in the castle of Lunéville.

Very much affected by a fire in 2003, the castle is currently in renovation. However, some parts are undamaged, and give two exhibitions to the visitors, to visit, from 10 h till 12 h and from 14 h till 18 h (except Tuesday), until August 3rd, 2008. In group with mates, we tested the track inspection car, called also bikes-rails.

In Meurthe-et-Moselle, it is in 45 minutes in the South of Nancy, between Lunéville and Rambervillers, that is the ancient railway station of Magnières, which gives the possiblité to go for a walk on disused ways of railway.

On the one hand, you have the possibility of going through 12 km (24 aller/retour). (Envisage picnic in that case to provide with fresh supplies the sportsmen!). In the other sense, one baby 3 km line waits you (for 6 aller/retour). It is the one that we chose, for a first experience (to Read continuation …).
